Basic Training

Training

Cary Area EMS is dedicated to quality continuing education.  We offer monthly training at our facility the second Monday of every month.

Training is both lecture and hands-on practice to ensure that we continue to offer the highest quality patient care to those who call 911.  Each member is required to have a minimum of 36 hours of continuing education a year.  Our members make training suggestions and guest lecturers are often invited to share their expertise.  We have had many speakers throughout the years to discuss topics from back care when we lift patients to guests from UNC JC Burn Center to teach us about burn care and what happens after we take the patient to the hospital.

Members from any EMS and fire agency within the county are welcome to come join us for training.  Please check our web-site for the upcoming topic listing and to check for any date changes.  If you have a topic you would like to share with our members please contact Deborah Stein at Cary Area EMS.  Training topics are closely aligned with the Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines to meet re-credentialing standards.
