Accepting applications for a full time paramedic

Cary Area EMS is currently accepting applications for a full time paramedic. We are looking for highly motivated and aggressive candidate who have a desire to work in a progressive EMS system. Cary Area EMS is part of the Wake County System which uses aggressive protocols and state of the art equipment. We work with a combination of full time employees, casual time employees and volunteers. Cary Area EMS currently responds to over 10,000 emergency dispatches with 3.5 ALS ambulances.

The preferred candidate would be a released to practice paramedic in the Wake County EMS System. Candidates must hold a current NC driver license and NC EMTP certification. Any employment offers will be pending drug screening, background check and passing the Wake County EMS System Entry process.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in different environmental conditions including extremes of temperature.
  • Ability to carry 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to wear a full-face mask and any other equipment as required by the Homeland Security Act.
